Educational Psychology Services
I provide educational psychology services for children, adolescents, and young adults, specializing in educationally based assessments that help families, schools, and individuals better understand learning, development, and academic functioning. I collaborate closely with families, educators, and other professionals to provide clear, practical recommendations that support academic success, personal growth, and overall well-being.
Assessment Services
Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs)
Comprehensive independent evaluations that provide an objective assessment of a student's educational needs and recommendations for support.
Psychoeducational Assessments
Psychoeducational assessments help identify learning, academic, attention, and social-emotional challenges while highlighting individual strengths. These evaluations provide a clear understanding of factors affecting performance and offer actionable recommendations to support success in school, higher education, and other learning environments.
Dyslexia and Learning Disability Evaluations
Comprehensive assessments designed to identify reading, writing, math, and other learning difficulties, including dyslexia and specific learning disabilities.
Autism Assessments
Autism assessments evaluate social communication, social interaction, and related behavioral characteristics. Results provide greater understanding and practical recommendations to support success at school and across settings.
Cognitive/IQ Testing
Cognitive and IQ testing is appropriate when there are no significant concerns regarding academic achievement but there is interest in understanding cognitive strengths, learning style, or giftedness. These evaluations can be beneficial for both children and young adults.
Targeted Learning Assessments
Targeted assessments focus on a specific area of concern, such as reading, writing, or mathematics. These evaluations provide clarity regarding learning challenges and practical strategies to strengthen skills and confidence.
Educational Consultation and Second Opinions
I provide consultation services and second-opinion reviews of IEPs, evaluations, and educational plans to help families better understand recommendations and make informed decisions regarding educational programming and services.
What Is Included in an Evaluation?
All evaluations are provided using a flat-fee structure, eliminating uncertainty about hourly costs or the length of the assessment process.
Each evaluation includes:
Direct assessment and testing
Clinical observations
Comprehensive written report
Individualized recommendations
Feedback session to review findings and discuss next steps
Classroom or school observations are included in most child and adolescent evaluations, depending on the type of assessment and school cooperation. Testing and clinical observations are included in all evaluations.
Recommendations and Support
For children and adolescents, recommendations focus on practical strategies that parents, teachers, and schools can implement to support learning, behavior, and academic success.
For young adults, evaluations provide meaningful insights and guidance related to education, career planning, self-understanding, and personal growth.
Consultation Services
In addition to assessment services, I offer consultation on an hourly basis for families, schools, and educational teams seeking guidance regarding learning, school placement, special education, accommodations, or educational planning.
